Self-Criticism and ThePerksOfBeingAWallflower

Judging people is really easy. It comes to us naturally. Often when we see someone, even our friends, we think looks really pretty today, we just don't say it. Why we're doing this is not so easy to say. Maybe it's pride. You want people to say you look nice, right? Then start telling them they are... We think a lot about a lot of things, bad and good, but smiling to someone on the street, saying hello to someone at work or at school, telling someone how nice they look... It can make someone's day.

Also, we have a tendency to judge ourselves. I know I do. Self-criticism. Sam says in the book The Perks Of Being A Wallflower: "It's just that sometimes people use thought to not participate in life." I love this quote. Thinking too much makes things so much harder than they need to be. I'm an expert at thinking too much.

Also in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Bill, Charlie's teacher says: "Charlie, we accept the love we think we deserve."

"It's great that you can listen and be a shoulder to someone, but what about when someone doesn't need a shoulder. Whar if they need the arms or something like that? You can't just sit there and put everybody's lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love. You just can't. You have to do things." - also Sam in the same book.

Accept yourself. Take your space. Love. Be loved. Enjoy life. No regrets. This is your time. Your memories. Your life. Live it.
